Mother's Love
A mother’s love is a precious thing.
Whether boo-boo or boyfriends—to them she brings
a comfort and solace so deep in your soul;
she made it all better with a smile and cajole.
Now you can’t touch her or kiss her sweet face;
the Lord called her home to His heavenly place.
But the memories and feelings, all these things you save;
they reside in your heart and not in the grave.
So your mother’s still with you;
though not the same form⎯to bring comfort
when you’re down or sad or forlorn.
We pray your pain will wear down in a while.
Stay strong, be happy and soon again, smile.
