Being Married
Being married is so much fun,
From the dawn of day to the setting of the sun.
You always have a date for Saturday night,
And it only costs you an occasional fight.
Sure, there's laundry and toilets and dust on the floor,
Making dinner every night, who could ask for more?
Then just when you're ready to throw in the towel;
He'll do that 'thing' and get you back somehow.
No, No, not that! Get out of the gutter--
It's a wink, or a smirk—some little thing or other.
It's that one thing that won you and cut to the quick;
It'll be that one thing that sustains you
And makes the marriage stick.
Cuz people cannot live by bread alone;
But it sure helps to have one of these babies at home!
Now GUESS what it is!
